UJN “3+1” Credit Program for Chinese Language Majors

I. Program Overview

This non-degree credit transfer program is co-launched by the University of Jinan and overseas partner universities for their undergraduate Chinese majors. Participants study full-time here for one academic year. Those passing all assessments will receive an official completion certificate and transcript, with all credits recognized by home institutions without disrupting their normal studies.

II. Class Opening Rules

Program scale and curricula are negotiable between both sides. Groups of 10 students or above may take customized courses aligned with their home universities’ training programs; smaller groups will join our regular on-campus language and culture classes.

III. Core Courses & Practical Activities

Core Courses

Advanced Comprehensive Chinese, Chinese Reading, Chinese Writing, Chinese Listening and Speaking, HSK Tutorials, etc.

National Condition & General Courses

Traditional Chinese Culture, China Overview, etc.

Extracurricular Practical Activities

The program offers a minimum of 30 class hours of practical activities including cultural study tours, campus exchanges and city visits, allowing students to immerse themselves in local regional culture and folk customs.

V. Fee Standards

Tuition Fee: RMB 8,000 per academic year per student

Accommodation Fee:

Double room: RMB 4,500 per academic year per student

Four-person room: RMB 2,250 per academic year per student

Other Expenses (borne by students):

International travel expenses, insurance fee (RMB 800 per academic year per student), visa fee, living expenses, physical examination fee, daily necessities and other unspecified expenses.

VI. Application Requirements & Procedures

Application Criteria

--- Current undergraduate students majoring in Chinese language at overseas partner universities;

--- Possess basic Chinese language proficiency and hold a positive learning attitude;

--- Have sufficient financial capacity, and undertake to abide by Chinese laws, university rules and program management regulations.

Application Documents

Overseas partner universities shall be responsible for student selection, qualification review and document collection. The complete student list and application materials shall be submitted to University of Jinan 3 months prior to the commencement of classes, and all documents must be true, legal and valid.

Intake Time

New students enroll every autumn semester, and the full-time study lasts for one academic year.
